What should I submit under? Academic or General?
Please ensure that you submit under the correct criteria. If you are from an Academic background such as a university lecturer or PhD student, then please ensure you submit under the Academic criteria. Students below PhD level should apply under the General category.
If you are submitting and working for a charity, architecture firm, public sector business, industry professional from technology, developer, planner or as an individual then please ensure you submit under the non-Academic criteria.
How will my submission be reviewed?
What are the different ways my contribution might be presented at the summit?
The Academic Committee will review the Academic submissions and select submissions to be included for virtual presentations and a virtual poster exhibition (via a virtual summit platform). In addition, some submissions might be invited to take part in the on-site talks conference programme.
The Programme Committee will review General submissions and select submission to be included in the programme. There will be the opportunity for onsite talks at the conference as well as virtual poster exhibition.
Can a person who is not an author of the paper present instead?
If you, as the presenting author, are unable to present then you need to notify the team and ensure that the replacement presenter must be a named author on the original submission.
In the case of being selected, what format will I be able to present my submission?
The presentation format for selected submissions will be decided depending on their relevance to the summit themes and at the discretion of the Academic Committee and summit organisers. Possible presentation formats:
- Virtual poster exhibition - in a bespoke virtual platform accessible by all delegates to the summit.
- Physical poster exhibition - to be held during the summit at the Barbican Centre in London.
- Digital presentations - pre-recorded presentations followed by a live online debate as part of the digital summit sessions programme.
- On-site presentations - live in-person presentations as part of the curated session programme during the summit at the Barbican Centre in London.
What are the requirements for supporting visuals for submissions?
You may submit up to two visuals to support your application.
If your submission requires Supporting Photography or Images, it is important that you have permission to use the images and your upload is of high pixel quality. Submissions will be published in event material so it is important all uploads are high resolution.
Accepted formats include: .JPEG, .JPG, .PNG, .GIF, .WEBP only with a maximum size of 10MB each.
